What You’ll Be Creating

Today we will be looking at how to animate a static logo, by using a video maker on Placeit. Bright colors, snappy movements, and of course, complete customization—all using Placeit’s video maker to animate logos.

What You’ll Need

To complete this project, we are using the following resources:

Find more resources on Envato Elements!

1. How to Add Your Text and Logo

Step 1

Start by getting your logo ready to upload into the video maker.

The optimal size is 1000 x 1000 px, with the file saved as a .PNG. Ideally, it should have a transparent background!

I’ll be using this Game Monster Logo!

logo

Step 2

Next, you will want to pick your animated logo template! I will be using this Logo Animation With Retro Video Effects.

retro logo template video

Step 3

Now, it’s time to upload your logo using the Upload Image button found on the left-hand side of the screen.

Once uploaded, you will be prompted to size and crop your logo. Make your logo as big as possible without cropping out any of the images.

crop logo

Step 4

With our logo placed, we can add our tagline or slogan.

Change the text by typing in the text field found on the upper left-hand side. I’m going to go with a simple „Let’s Play!” in all capital letters.

choose slogan

Step 5

Let’s customize our font a bit by changing the font face!

We can do this by clicking on Teko, which is the current font, and choosing from the list of fonts that comes up.

I will be going with RobotoMono as it stays with the retro vibe we are going for.

change font

Step 6

Finally, let’s swap in our color scheme!

All templates will have different areas that will need coloring. In this template, it’s the brown and orange color to the left.

The orange I quite like, but not so much the brown, so let’s change it to hot pink by clicking the orange square and choosing #fc1681

change color scheme

2. How to Animate a Logo

Step 1

Now, let’s customize our logo’s animation!

On the left-hand side, you will see Logo Animation. Clicking it will give you a few choices of different animations and motion for your logo!

I am going to go with the third choice as it feels very glitchy and sporadic—precisely what I’m going for.

change logo animation

Step 2

Finally, let’s wrap our logo animation up by giving it some music!

On the right-hand side, you will see Audio Track. Here you can preview the song your logo currently has.

To change out the song, choose the Pencil Icon. A vast library of music will come up, all sorted by genre.

Press the Star to favorite a track and the Play button to test it.

I am going to choose Lily J – Lo-Fi 02, found in the Lo-Fi category!

We’ve Done It!

And there you have it! Save yourself some time while still getting your perfect opener using Placeit’s animated logo maker!

Why cook when you can just skip the dishes? When McDonald’s launched its McDelivery service in the Czech Republic, DDB Prague was challenged to create ads that would create intrigue whilst still getting the word out about the delivery service. And this campaign of poster ads did exactly that. “Using McDonald’s products visually to show the benefit of its delivery service, together with the strong insight that people don’t like dirty dishes makes this piece of work really interesting.” – Gert Laubscher Creative Director DDB Prague The campaign of three ads showcases dirty dishes in each, but with a twist. Each ads’ dirty dishes actually form an iconic McDonald’s item. Stacked pots and dishes forming the Big Mac. Bowls and forks creating McDonald’s famous fries. Glasses, serviette’s and spoons a McSundae.

Jupiler: The Inclusive Beer Ad

Jupiler

On may 18 2019, Sarah Bettens, one of Belgium’s most famous rock stars, announced her transition towards masculinity and became Sam Bettens. One day later, Jupiler, Belgium’s most masculine beer brand with the 30-year old baseline “men know why”, published a newspaper ad stating two simple words: “Pintje, Sam?”. In English: “Fancy a beer, Sam?”. The message to men was clear: Sam is instantly one of the guys. A traditional brand suddenly made a strong point about the normalization of transgender people. Without endless debates. Just no-nonsense instant acceptance.
