What is BrushLovers?

BrushLovers is a website which has an exclusive and huge collection of both paid and free Photoshop brushes.

There are 100s of brushes that are well-categorized and here are some examples.

JSZip is an open source JavaScript library for creating .zip files on the client-side.

Using very simple functions, you can add any number of files and folders inside the zip file, find items already included and remove any of them.

The library is not a totally perfect solution as it does not support Google Chrome + IE and has some issues in generating the name for the zip file (an alternative solution using Downloadify is offered).

Learning a user's browser and its version is usually very important to decide if any other scripts or styles need to be inserted into the web page.

And, such tasks are usually accomplished with JavaScript as we don't need to go so deep (detecting if it is IE or not is generally enough).

Browser.php is a very useful PHP class that helps collecting data about a visitor's browser including:

• platform used
• browser
• browser version

It can detect almost every popular browser including mobile + tablet devices and robots with a few lines just like:

Spritebox is a free-to-use web application which offers a WYSIWYG tool for creating CSS classes from a single sprite image.

Image to be used can be fetched from a URL, uploaded directly or via drag 'n' drops from the computer.

TinyLetter is a free-to-use web service which enables us to create an e-mail newsletter and get subscribers.

It has a very straightforward functionality and interface. You just pick a name for the newsletter and embed a code into the website which displays a sign-up form.

Also, you can ask the users to go to the custom URL provided by the service (like http://tinyletter.com/listName) where the design of it can be customized.

You can see the past newsletters, read replies, see the list of subscribers and also import e-mails.

An original feature is the support for "asking a payment for subscription" to the newsletter where the amounts can be collected by the service or directly sent to any given PayPal address.

It doesn't have any advanced features like reporting, custom text per subscriber or ready-to-use templates but, for some projects, simplicity is all we need.

Less Framework is a cross-device CSS grid system that uses inline media queries.

It was previously shared at WRD and now became more mature and powerful with the 3rd version.

It first creates a default layout normally and adds additional layouts using inline media queries. Any browsers incompatible with media queries will simply ignore all the additional layouts, and will only use the default one.

The additional layouts will inherit any styles given to the default layout, so coding them is a breeze.

Less Framework's website shows howmany columns are required for which devices and the CSS code can be customized online.

jQuery.validVal is plugin for the popular JS framework which aims to simplify form validation.

It can be used for validating any kind of HTML form (including Ajaxed ones) and works by defining the rules within class names.

There are 3 default validations included ("required", "numeric" and "email-format") and new ones can be included by defining new regular expressions.

A very nice built-in invalid handler helps calling-to-action on invalid fields and its behaviours can be quickly changed or improved.
