SQLiteManager is an open source and web-based application for managing the popular server-less, zero-configuration SQLite databases.

It is built with PHP and can control multiple databases besides applying every action on tables or records.

Using the application, queries can be ran, MySQL queries can be converted to SQLite-compatible ones and triggers can be created/edited as well.

SQLiteManager has different skins and it is a multilingual resource with ready-to-use language files.

P.S. phpMyAdmin users will feel very comfortable as the interface is pretty similar.

Choco-Slider is a lightweight (~7kb) and flexible jQuery image slider plugin with good-looking effects.

It requires a set of images wrapped with an element (like a div) and uses the alt tags to display information about the slides.

The plugin has various customization options including the dimensions, auto-slide on/off, delays between transitions, prev-next controls on/off and much more.

Choco-Slider has 3 custom animation types and it works with all popular browsers (including IE6).

It can be used collaboratively by multiple users with a role-based security system.

All data is encrypted in the database and they are not displayed in any way but can be copied to clipboard.

The application has an Ajaxed interface, built with PHP, uses MySQL and it is a very handy resource for keeping data both safe and reachable.

Google is so decisive on making the web faster with the tools and resources it creates. Also remember that they had announced "speed being a factor in Google's search rankings".

Google is now sharing an open source Apache module named mod_pagespeed that automatically optimizes web pages.

It works with Apache 2.2 and includes several filters that optimize JavaScript, HTML, CSS stylesheets, JPEG and PNG images.

Baker is an open source HTML5 framework to publish ebooks for iPads with minimal effort.

In order to use the framework, HTML5 pages should be created with a fixed width of 768px.

For a temporary period, files should be named as 1.html, 2.html.. however, developers are working on the HPub format which will be more flexible.

There is a ready-to-use Xcode project provided where you can include the book, a custom icon and submit the final product to the App Store.

Holla is an open source group chat application where you can create channels, invite friends to those channels, chat and share files.

It has a totally Ajaxed interface on every level (messaging, uploading files, etc.).

A nice feature is that the file uploads can be done via drag'n drops and every user in the chat can see the upload progress bar.

Holla uses Node.js for the real-time chat and falls back to Comet and Flash Sockets if WebSockets is not supported.

The application is actually a "sample resource" for the upcoming book of the author -which on asynchronous interfaces- and has a demo too.
