Graphic designer, Laia Clos, of Barcelona’s Mot Studio, created her own musical notation system called „SisTeMu”. Here we see the score of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons translated into geometric shapes and colors. They’re being sold now as posters.
The project, called „Lesquatrestacions”…began „by accident” last year when Clos wanted to make a gift for her studio clients based on „the idea of linking music, graphics and data visualization.” She began with a set of stamps, but fell down the rabbit hole and ending up creating SisTeMu, „a graphic notation system which looks at interpreting musical texture,” she tells Co.Design. „It somewhat simplifies the complexity and mathematical structure, making it accessible to the viewer through a visual narrative.”

The receipt racer combines different in and output devices into a complete game. It was made during the „Let’s feed the future workshop”, part of the OFFF Festival in Barcelona on June 8th 2011.

Building good-looking HTML forms which work well in every browser and applying client+server-side validation usually takes a serious development time.
Zebra_Form, a free PHP library, handles this process very well and enables us to create secure and chic forms with a few lines of PHP code.
The output can be generated either with the ready-to-use styles (with valid HTML) or with any new/custom ones.
An integrated cross-site scripting prevention mechanism removes any possible malicious code submitted. It also helps preventing automated spam submissions.
The client-side validation is handled with jQuery, alerts are displayed inside tooltips and many validation types can be used (like "required, e-mail, length, etc.").
Besides standard input types, Zebra_Form supports Ajax-like file uploads, date-time pickers and captchas.

TN3 Gallery is a professional and very flexible jQuery image gallery plugin for displaying and rotating a collection of images in various ways.
It works cross-browser (including mobile), has multiple transition effects, can show captions and present the thumbnails horizontally or vertically.
The plugin can automatically generate these thumbnails with or without resizing them on the server-side (with the help of a PHP file) and enable users to browse the gallery by clicking to these thumbnails.
Thumbnails are not the only way to view the images, there are also prev-next buttons, mouse-wheel + keyboard support, auto-slideshow and, optionally, bullet-type-of-navigation can be used rather than thumbnails.
A lovely feature is the ability to present multiple albums with each album having its own thumbnail and caption to help users better understand "what is inside".
TN3 Gallery can use XML as the data source which is great for integrating the gallery with 3rd party software like CMS applications.
For maximum customization, the API comes to the aid in every point with functions to change everything.
There are also many other features like Flickr integration, skinning, fullscreen display, support for Cufon or @font-face and more.
It comes in 3 flavors;
- Lite: with limited features and free
- Pro: with all the features and licenses to a single site
- Multi-Site: with all the features and licenses to unlimited sites
