Malaysian Nature Society: Unfortunate Tales of a Treeless World

We chose to use what all Malaysians are familiar with – classic fairytales – and reimagined them in a world without trees. These tales served as a conversation starter to show how deforestation can ruin these stories, as well as ours.We brought these stories to life through our posters, which together with the rest of our campaign, drove to the microsite. Once there, people could dive into each tale further and learn about how deforestation affects us, as well as take action by donating, signing up as a member, and buying notebooks and CDs inspired by our unfortunate tales, which also contributed to MNS’ funds.

We handcrafted four reimagined “unfortunate tales” using mixed media. Whenever possible, we used reclaimed wood, metal, cloth and other repurposed items, in keeping with our theme. We then photographed these sets, and combined them with digital illustration for use on our posters and print, for a raw, rustic look that couldn’t be replicated by illustration alone. These images and stories were then adapted to our notebooks and microsite.

As the campaign was recently launched, we’re still collecting the results, but so far the response has been encouraging. Both young and old responded positively to our campaign. In just a few days, 22,000 were exposed to our tales on our posters displayed at our roadshow. The posters played a key role in our campaign’s success, which helped increase deforestation awareness by 48%, and raised over RM45,000 within the first week of launch. More importantly, Malaysians were encouraged to join MNS in its quest to rewrite nature’s unfortunate tale in the real world.

By using classic fairy tales, we instantly make our message relevant to the majority of Malaysians, as ages from 8 to 80 are familiar with these tales. Our campaign needed to have wide reach, and to do this we showcased our posters at some of the top malls in Malaysia’s capital city. The posters were supported by mobile mechanised booths, notebooks, and a soundtrack. All of which drove the public to our microsite, which encouraged sign ups as an MNS member, donations, sharing of our stories across social media, and purchase of our notebooks and CDs.

Malaysia loses a football-pitch-sized area of forest every 90 seconds, making us 8th in the world for deforestation. Yet most Malaysians are unaware of the state of deforestation in Malaysia. Malaysian Nature Society, the nation’s oldest conservation NGO, wanted to bring this issue to light in a way that would engage our audience towards action. We also looked to reach Malaysians of all ages, regardless of race or socio-economic status and recruit them to our cause.

Beer from year 1973 got campaign like from the 70s. For a serie of 3 TV films we invited a legendary DOP Dodo Simoncic who shot the most acclaimed movies in the 70’s. 3 legendary graphic designers who were at their professional peak in the 70’s created posters for the new beer under one condition – they were only able to use graphic techniques that were used 40 years ago (maximum handwork and minimum of computer assistence).

Burger King: The Subway Grill Shelf

Post pobrano z: Burger King: The Subway Grill Shelf
Media, Outdoor
Burger King

BRIEF
Burger King has been flame-grilling burgers since 1954. That’s one of the key product differentiators for the brand and we are always looking for opportunities to highlight that.

CHALLENGE
Most people are only tuned to their phones or books during subway journeys, ignoring the environment around them. We decided to disrupt that by creating a way to bring our product truth to life even in this typically low engagement medium.

IDEA
We have leveraged the existing subway luggage shelves to create an optical illusion as if passengers were underneath our grill. With that we broke the monotony of the subway with a fun, flame-grilled experience.

This idea is particularly relevant to the brand, as Burger King can optimize out of home media spent by focusing on the subway routes which overlap with restaurant locations. That’s why we wrapped an entire train in Korea.

Oreo

Oreo launches its Double Stuff Cookie in Israel with a wild campaign! To highlight the double cream awesomeness of their newest arrival, Oreo has created an online challenge, inviting teenagers to „lick the cream off the Oreo biscuit as fast as they can” for the chance to win some awesome prizes.

The challenge is presented by President „Lickson” – the licking champion of the world. This pioneer Oreo character is endowed with a super-tongue, and in the new online ad he performs a variety of tongue exercises while inviting the audience to get their own tongues into shape for the challenge ahead.

„The biggest challenge for us was figuring out how to characterize our coacher figure in a way that would reflect on the brand essence” says film director Tal Zagreba, who was brought in to help develop and direct the campaign „luckily for us, the essence of this brand is pure fun!”

The campaign targets ages 13-18, is being launched on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Snap, offers a wide array of delicious licking action „We had a lot of fun creating this campaign,” says Adam Peled, Creative Director of Oreo Israel.

„We wanted to invent an original and prominent character, who will appeal to the hard-to-please teenage audience, and embodies Oreo’s brand values. Oh, and we wanted him to have super powers.” The campaign was created by the BYL Advertising agency for Oreo Israel and will run through the better part of January.

Fleury: Pink Bra

Fleury

Agency and Client launch innovative social project for breast cancer and women health prevention with earnings benefiting social organizations from 2017 on.

After gaining Group Fleury’s account at the beginning of the year and repositioning the brand with a great institutional campaign for it’s 90 years of history, the agency We has just launched an educational campaign for Fleury Medicine and Health, named „Pink Bra”, an initiative of assistance for breast cancer prevention, which is part of the project Women’s Season, expressed by the hashtag #saudeepoder /#healthispower.

The action that has the tagline „Breast cancer awareness is preventing all generations”, has as an icon a bra which print was created from the ribbon that symbolizes the worldwide breast cancer fighting and shows the areas where women should have the self-exam. „For us it’s a great pleasure to be involved in something like this and build up an action like Pink Bra for Fleury.

It exceeds forms and formats; it’s not only a campaign, an event or a product. It’s all together and it has a very special cause as its main goal. In the year that Fleury turns 90 years of history it’s really important to help them build their next 90 years and the Pink Bra is aligned with all the wishes they have” – says José Borall, partner and customer service and business VP.

It aims primarily, motivating healthcare, promoting body self-awareness still in early life, as well as encouraging mothers, aunts and grandmothers on the importance of breast cancer prevention at any age. Three hundred bras have been developed to be distributed and tested by doctors, patients and opinion makers, such as journalists and influencers.

In spite of only being available in 2017, after the testing stage that starts now, the Pink Bra intends to become a healthcare icon for youngsters aged between 16-25 years old right now. The campaign has a national reach and counts with an exclusive hotsite (www.sutiarosa.com.br) about the project and a direct line to solve doubts. It also has the support of UN Women – the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women – for the choice of organizations that will be benefited from the project, which will donate part of the achieved resources for NGOs.
